Reportedly, since the beginning of the year, the administrative reform and digital transformation in the MND have received due attention from leaders at all levels. Accordingly, the whole military has built steering committees of administrative reform and digital transformation at all levels; organized 14 conferences and working sessions of defense leaders and military units; issued 73 documents on administrative reform and digital transformation. The MND also held five refresher courses on the field.

In addition, the MND has also built and submitted to the Government for the promulgation of five decrees, while the defense ninister issued 30 circulars, reaching 130% of the set plan for the first half of the year; updated more than 1,200 legal and executive documents of the MND on military and defense for military units. Meanwhile, administrative procedures have been addressed as scheduled, to name but a few.

Concluding the conference, General Giang affirmed that the Central Military Commission, the MND have decisively directed the whole military to conduct administrative reform and digital transformation, together with their assigned tasks, so as to gain positive results, contributing to accomplishing military and defense tasks in the first half of 2024.

The defense minister affirmed that in the last six months of the year, the administrative reform and digital transformation work requires functional forces and leaders at all levels to raise their responsibility, overcome shortcomings to complete all targets of 2024. Leaders of military units should continue to direct dissemination work on this field to raise troops’ awareness and responsibility.

In addition, the whole military was requested to review plans in 2024 of the MND and units in the whole military on administrative reform and digital transformation in 2022-2025 period, with a vision to 2030 (Project No.06 in short), and relevant plans, in order to fulfill assigned tasks.

The defense minister underscored that the administrative reform, e-government development, and digital transformation work, assigned by the government, should be rolled out as planned. Meanwhile, relevant agencies and units in the whole military should find out solutions to overcome difficulties to fulfill all assigned tasks with good quality and as scheduled.
