The units participating in the exercise were Regiments 925 and 930 (under Division 372) and Regiment 940 (under the Air Force Officer Candidate School). While Regiments 925 and 930 used Su-27 aircraft and Mi-8 helicopters, Regiment 940 showcased shooting and bombing capabilities with Yak-130 aircraft.

The exercise was carried out smoothly as planned, with aircraft transitioning from basic flight maneuvers to more complex ones, utilizing bombs, artillery shells and rockets for daytime airstrikes. Reportedly, the crews strictly adhered to regulations and flight techniques, demonstrating a high level of weapon mastery.
The exercise will continue on September 25 with units conducting nighttime airstrike.
During the daytime exercise, Lt. Gen. Pham Truong Son highly praised the participating units for their excellent performance. He also asked them to further grasp resolutions and directives of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, the GS and the ADAF Service and to relentlessly enhance training quality and combat readiness to safeguard the nation's airspace.

During the meeting with the officers and cadets of the Air Force Officer Candidate School, Gen. Son shared valuable lessons, encouraging them to strive to become excellent pilots in the future. He also reminded troops to maintain a strong political will, actively engage in learning and practice, and master all weapons and equipment to fulfill their assigned tasks.
