ADAF Service kicks of unarmed martial arts competition
PANO - On August 26, at Hai Phong University’s Gymnasium, the Air Defense - Air Force (ADAF) Service launched the unarmed martial arts competition in 2024 in the Northern provinces.
The event drew the participation of nine athlete delegations from the ADAF’s affiliated units.
Athletes (aged from 18 to 27, and 28 to 35) will compete in various categories of the unarmed martial arts competition. They compete individually once according to age and weight classes; each match has three rounds with three minutes per round and one-minute break between rounds.

Addressing the launching ceremony, Senior Colonel Nguyen Quoc Van, Deputy Chief of Staff of the ADAF Service hailed the remarkable efforts of participating forces, while asking the organizing panel to strictly implement the competition with absolute safety.
Meanwhile, athletes should follow all regulations of the competition and observe military discipline, and promote determination during competition.
After the launching ceremony, athletes started competing as scheduled.
