Speaking at the opening ceremony, Major General Dang Hong Trien, Director of the Vietnam-Russia Tropical Center, emphasized the importance of foreign languages, including Russian, in carrying out defense external relations activities and good use over imported weapons and technical equipment. In recent years, the Vietnam-Russia Tropical Center has successfully conducted the Russian language training for military personnel, affirming the teaching capabilities of the center's staff and contributing to the development of the military's human resources.

Major General Dang Hong Trien noted that the 49 participants in this course come from various regions and military units across the country. The center's leadership will continue to provide a favorable learning environment for the learners to achieve the best results.

The 22nd Russian language training course is a nine-month program designed to equip the trainees with listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills to reach the international standard of level B1 in the Russian language. The course also includes extracurricular activities such as film screening, singing, workshops, field trips, and so on.

Upon completing the course, the learners will sit a graduation exam and the international B1 exam in the Russian language organized by the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute in Hanoi.
