Russian language class for Vietnamese officers kicked off
PANO – The Vietnam – Russia Tropical Center (Center in short) held a ceremony on September 16 in Hanoi to kick off the 21st Russian language class of the Ministry of National Defense.

The event was attended by the Center’s Director General Major General Dang Hong Trien and representatives from the Department of Personnel under the General Department of Political Affairs and Department of Military School Management under the General Staff.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Head of the Center’s Training Division Senior Colonel Pham Ngoc Quyen said that in the 2022-2023 academic year, the Center is tasked to provide Russian language training for 55 officers from units in the whole military.
The nine-month long class with more than 1,000 lessons includes class time, field trips, and exam time. Through lectures and practical activities, the class will help Vietnamese officers gain more knowledge about Russia, its culture and people.
Speaking at the event, Major General Dang Hong Trien evaluated that over the past years, the Center’s Russian language training for officers in the whole military has obtained positive outcomes.
To fulfill assigned missions, the Center’s Director General asked the Training Office to ensure adequate facilities for the class and regularly pay attention to learners’ material and spiritual life. He urged the lecturers to continuously study to raise their professionalism and build logical and effective teaching methods.

The Center’s leader asked participating officers to be fully aware of their missions, strictly observe military discipline and the unit’s regulations, stay united and help one another in studying, and enhance self-studying spirit to attain the best possible results.
