Vietnamese peacekeepers share difficulty with flood-hit victims in South Sudan
PANO – The Level-two Field Hospital (L2FH) Rotation 3 of Vietnam has given support to Bentiu Hospital which is facing poor conditions of health checkups and treatment due to recent natural disaster consequences.
The hospital’s staff visited and handed over meaningful and practical gifts, including medicines and hand sanitizers, to Bentiu Hospital. The medicines are to treat common diseases in flooding season. In addition, the hospital also worked with the Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) and local authorities to further support the locals.

In recent months, South Sudan has suffered from heaviest floods in its 60-year history, affecting the life of more than 700,000 people. Meanwhile, in Unity state, where the L2FH’s Rotation 3 is stationed, 90% of the population has been left homeless due to floods.
In this situation, the noble deed of the L2FH’s Rotation 3 helped them soon return to the normal life.
