In particular, the mission visited, presented gifts, and provided free health check-ups, medicines, and health consultation for locals in the Cambodian commune.

During the event held at Purapet Primary School in Krong Tes commune, around 500 local people had their health checked by the medical personnel of the Dak Lak provincial Military Command. They were also presented with medicines and equipped with methods to protect themselves from common diseases and stay healthy in dry season and post-pandemic time.

Krong Tes borders Krong Na commune, Buon Don district, Dak Lak province and partly Dak Wil commune, Cu Yut district, Dak Nong province. The whole commune has 826 households with a total population of 3,324 people. The locality homes Khmer and Pu Nong ethnic minority groups. At present, the poverty rate is nearly 50%. Since locals are living in poor condition, they have the risk of contracting diseases.

The mission of the Dak Lak provincial Military Command also coordinated with the locality to send a medical team to villages to provide medical examinations and medicines for dozens of sick elderly people.

On the occasion of the Chol Chnam Thmay Traditional Festival of the Cambodian people, the Dak Lak provincial Military Command handed over 350 gifts, worth VND 175 million, to needy households in Krong Tes commune. The total cost for the activity was VND 225 million.
