During the event, Gen. Chien highly appreciated the coordination and border protection efforts between the Vietnamese Border Guard Command and Guangzhou Border Inspection Station. Both sides have frequently exchanged information on emerging issues related to entry and exit checks of people and vehicles.

Welcoming the Vietnamese high-level defense delegation, Head of Guangzhou Border Inspection Station Zhao Yong emphasized that under the direction of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense and the Chinese Ministry of Public Security, directly the Vietnam Border Guard Command and China’s National Immigration Administration, units from both countries have maintained close cooperation and effectively managed border and customs operations, contributing to building a borderline of peace, stability, cooperation, and mutual development.

Highlighting the success of the visit, the Vietnamese deputy defense minister emphasized that it was a significant event marking the 80th anniversary of the foundation day of the Vietnam People’s Army. The activity also provided an opportunity for leaders of the Vietnamese and Chinese militaries to meet, strengthen political trust and understanding about the traditional friendship between the two countries and their militaries.

The head of the Vietnamese delegation stressed that the visit to historical relic sites related to the Vietnamese Revolution at Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Guangdong province not only offered Vietnamese senior officers insight into the arduous and heroic revolutionary struggle of their predecessors, but also facilitated exchange and understanding between the Vietnamese and Chinese militaries.

Gen. Chien believed that the well-preserved historical relic sites related to the Vietnamese Revolution in China are not only places to vividly educate people on revolutionary ideals, but also make a ‘red address’ symbolizing the Vietnam - China friendship.
