Vietnamese, Chinese border management forces enhance cooperation in law enforcement
PANO - Delegations of Vietnam’s border posts of Pa U, Pa Ve Su, Hua Bum, Pa Tan, Huoi Luong, Dao San, Vang Ma Chai, Si Lo Lau, Sin Suoi Ho, Ka Lang, and Ma Lu Thang Border Gate of the Lai Chau provincial Border Guard Command and China’s Jinping Border Management Company held talks on July 3 in China’s Yunnan province to review their law enforcement cooperation in the first half of 2024.
During the talks, the two sides reviewed and highly appreciated outcomes in border management and law enforcement cooperation. They agreed to continue to strictly implement the established cooperation mechanisms in law enforcement, such as joint border management, joint suppression of cross-border crimes, joint maintenance of security and order.
They also emphasized the need to strengthen border management and control, strictly implement the three legal documents on Vietnam-China land border signed by the two governments, well manage those living in border areas, foster patrols and protection of the borderline.

Both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation between the local labor management agencies, facilitate labor export, and simplify labor export procedures. In addition to that, dissemination and education about policies and laws for border residents should be enhanced, while the entry and exit work must be implemented in line with agreement inked by the two sides.
