The research cooperation project is themed “Collecting documents and objects on the friendship and solidarity between Vietnamese and Chinese militaries, Ho Chi Minh - Mao Zedong solidarity thought in the resistance wars against the French colonialists and the U.S. imperialists.”

This fourth meeting of the two sides aimed to discuss and reach agreement on the research outline and orienting contents of future cooperation. The third meeting was held in Vietnam last September.

During their visit to China, the Vietnamese delegation will have fact-finding trips and collect relevant documents in some localities.

At the meeting, the two sides agreed on the outline of the collection of images and illustrative documents for the research cooperation. They were unanimous in promptly completing the remaining tasks to soon perfect the research project, make report and announce the results and make documents to disseminate and educate the two countries’ people, young generations, armed forces about the traditional friendship and solidarity between the two nations and two militaries, contributing to lifting the two countries and militaries’ partnerships to a new height.

Both directors highly evaluated the good task performance of the working group, the responsibility, scientific and objective working style of the two sides. They evaluated that the draft collection comprised precious documents, reflecting the deep meaning of the research cooperation topic.

Once completed, the research cooperation project will include a general report and a collection of images and documents on the solidarity, friendship, and mutual support between the two countries and militaries in the wars against French and U.S invaders.

From the project, lessons will be drawn and proposals will be made to promote mutual trust, friendship, and cooperative ties between the two countries and militaries in the new situation.
