Vietnamese border unit extends Tet greetings to Chinese unit
PANO – On February 12, at Border Marker 291/2, a delegation from Tung Vai Border Post of Vietnam’s Tuyen Quang Provincial Border Guard Command, led by Lieutenant Colonel Pham Hung, Deputy Head of Tung Vai Border Post, paid a Lunar New Year (Tet) 2026 visit and extended New Year greetings to Malipo County Border Guard Meeting Station of China.

In a friendly atmosphere, the two sides exchanged views on the border area situation and reviewed the results of their recent coordination in managing and protecting the border area and border markers. They agreed to continue strictly implementing the border management regulations; enhance joint patrols and coordinated law enforcement along the border; regularly share information; and actively cooperate in preventing and combating various types of cross-border crime between Vietnam and China. Both sides also emphasized the importance of effectively conducting legal dissemination and education among residents on both sides of the border.
Lieutenant Colonel Pham Hung conveyed his New Year wishes to Malipo County Border Guard Meeting Station for peace and happiness, expressing the hope that both sides would continue to strengthen solidarity, friendship, and mutual trust, and maintain close coordination in border management and protection, thereby contributing to the building of a peaceful, stable, and developing border area.
A representative of Malipo County Border Guard Meeting Station affirmed that the Chinese side would continue to maintain close coordination, contributing to the construction of a peaceful and friendly border between the two countries.
The Tet 2026 meeting and greetings at Border Marker 291/2 between Tung Vai Border Post and China’s border management and protection forces contributed to reinforcing solidarity and friendship, and to building a border of peace, stability, cooperation, and development.
