The delegation affirmed that the traditional relations between the two Parties, States, and militaries in general, and between Corps 15 and Cambodia’s Military Region 1 in particular, have continued to develop effectively. They also expressed appreciation for the support and assistance provided by Military Region 1, as well as Cambodian authorities and people, for Corps 15’s projects in recent years.
Meanwhile, the Corps 15 leader said the unit’s economic-defense projects have created jobs and stable income for nearly 1,000 Cambodian workers. The projects have also supported social welfare through housing construction, transport infrastructure, clean water wells, free medical check-ups and medicines, and cultural and social activities, helping improve local people’s living standards, strengthen public trust and foster bilateral friendship. He added that Corps 15 has stepped up public outreach to promote compliance with the laws of both countries, while working closely with local authorities and armed forces to maintain political security and social order, contributing to a peaceful, stable and cooperative Vietnam-Cambodia border.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in defense diplomacy and economic development linked to security, while coordinating closely to facilitate Corps 15’s tasks in Cambodia, particularly regarding investment procedures, border crossings, and security.
During the visit, the delegation paid tribute at the Vietnam Volunteer Soldiers Memorial in Stung Treng city, and inspected and encouraged its staff and workers, and Cambodian employees at subordinate units and production teams.

The visit and Chol Chnam Thmay greetings not only reflected Corps 15’s commitment and responsibility towards Cambodia, but also helped deepen the relationship of "good neighbors, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term sustainability" between Vietnam and Cambodia. It also underscored Corps 15’s role in combining economic development with defense diplomacy and in strengthening local support along the shared border.
