Vietnamese and Chinese units strengthen friendship exchanges
PANO – The border posts of Vietnam’s Lai Chau Provincial Border Guard Command and China’s Jinping Border Management Company held talks on December 13 in Tan Phong ward, Lai Chau province.

During the event, the two sides reviewed and highly appreciated their positive results in border management and law enforcement cooperation, and reached common understandings aimed at further strengthening law enforcement collaboration in the coming period.
Both sides agreed to continue thoroughly implementing and maintaining law enforcement cooperation mechanisms, while consolidating and deepening existing frameworks such as border meetings and regular talks, ad hoc consultations when necessary, information exchange, joint patrols, coordination in preventing and combating cross-border crime, cooperation in safeguarding security during major events, and coordination in handling cases and incidents.

They also agreed to further deepen friendship exchange relations, actively promote activities to jointly build cooperative and friendly station-to-station/company-to-company ties, continuously diversify forms of friendship exchanges, and build and strengthen models in Vietnam - China law enforcement cooperation.

In addition, the two sides will actively advise local authorities on both sides to implement twinning activities, such as “friendship villages” and “friendship communes/townships,” promote exchanges across various fields, and build a safe and stable border environment.
