Vietnamese and Chinese border units conduct joint patrol
PANO - On April 2, Lung Cu Border Station under the Tuyen Quang Provincial Border Guard Command (Vietnam), led by Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Ngoc Tuan, Deputy Head of Lung Cu Border Station, in coordination with Donggan Police Station (China) under the Malin Sub-station of the Tianbao Immigration Border Station of China, headed by Third Class Police Superintendent You Zhiqiang, conducted a joint patrol session in the first quarter of 2026, from Border Markers 409 to 410/2.
Before conducting the patrol, two sides implemented a casual greetings ritual, member introduction, and patrol content briefing. During the patrol, the two sides collaboratively examined, and controlled the border area which is assigned for managing. They discussed the local social situations, measures for ameliorating the effectiveness of border management and law enforcement in border areas in the first quarter of 2026.

In the second quarter of 2026, the two sides will continue to implement measures to prevent illegal immigration and cross-border smuggling, as well as raising law-abiding awareness of both countries’ people. In addition, they will exchange information and address all arising issues in border areas.
Both sides will strengthen the dissemination of legal regulations and policy knowledge to border residents, raising their awareness and voluntary compliance with legal regulations on border management.
The patrol help promptly prevent legal violations along the border, maintain peace, stability, and development in the border area, reinforce the border markers, and build a Vietnam-China border area of peace, friendship, cooperation, and development.
The bilateral patrol in the first quarter of 2026 concluded successfully, ensuring absolute safety for personnel and equipment, while strictly complying with foreign policy regulations.
