PANO – The Hong Van Border Gate Border Post under the Thua Thien-Hue provincial Border Guard Command, Co Tai Police Station of Border Company 511 under the Lao Salavan provincial Military Command, La Lay Border Post of the Quang Tri provincial Border Guard Command and A Dot Border Gate Customs Branch held a conference to review their coordination work in the first half of 2016 in A Luoi commune, Thua Thien Hue province.

Accordingly, the units implemented their coordination activities as planned while supporting each other in fulfilling their assigned missions, contributing to ensuring the sovereignty and security of the national borders of each country, creating favorable conditions for entrance and exit of citizens and goods of the two countries at border gates, and promoting socio-economic development in localities along the shared border.

In addition, the two sides regularly exchanged information and situation briefings, contributing significantly to preventing and fighting various crimes as well as strengthening the relationship and mutual understanding between the Vietnamese and Lao units.
