PANO – Vietnam expects to increase multi-faceted cooperation with the Malaysian Armed Forces, including ties between the Air Forces of the two countries, said a Vietnamese general.
Senior Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty, Chief of the General Staff of Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) and Deputy Minister of National Defence, made the statement at a reception given to General Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Rodzali bin Daud, Malaysian Chief of Air Force, who is on a working visit to Vietnam.
At the reception in Hanoi on October 2nd, Senior Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty stressed that since the two countries agreed to establish defence attaché relations in 1998, and especially since the Memorandum of Understanding on Bilateral Defence Cooperation was signed in 2008, defence cooperation between Vietnam and Malaysia has been broadened and developed positively and effectively.
