The tank teams from Laos, Congo and Tajikistan of the second group of Division 2 took part in the third qualifying round on August 30.
Later the same day, the organizing panel held a meeting to announce results of all participating tank teams after three qualifying rounds of Division 2. The Tajikistan tank team ranked first with a total time of 1 hour 31 minutes and 40 seconds. The Vietnamese tank team came second with a total time of 1 hour 44 minutes and 18 seconds. The third and fourth position went to the tank teams of Laos (1 hour 44 minutes and 43 second) and Myanmar (1 hour 52 minutes and 10 second) respectively.
The first semifinal of Division 2 of the Tank Biathlon event between the Vietnamese and Myanmar tank teams will take place at 7pm (Hanoi time) on September 1. The second semifinal between the Tajikistani and Lao tank teams will take place on September 2.
* On August 30, Vietnamese military engineers participated in the “Safe route” event of the International Army Games 2020, which takes place at the Kstovo Training Grounds, Russia.
Due to heavy rains during the previous days, the roads were muddy and slippery, creating unfavorable conditions for all participating teams.

Finally, the Russian military engineering team performed in 31 minutes 13 seconds and ranked first. The Uzbekistani team came second in 43 minutes 27 seconds while the Vietnamese team finished after the event in 46 minutes and took the third place.
Apparently, the Vietnamese military engineering team secured their Bronze medal successfully. In addition, Vietnamese engineering group achieved the “best engineering assault section” title.
* Vietnam’s service dog handler team competed in the “Dog Biathlon” relay race of the “True Friend” competition of the Army Games 2020 with their high determination and great effort.
During the race, each couple of a service dog and handler had to complete a 1,600-meter race track and practiced shooting at targets (a rifle shooting exercise in the standing position 50 meters from the target). As a result, the Vietnamese team ranked four among the eight participating teams.
The closing ceremony for the “True Friend” competition is held in late today.
