This is the first time that the VPA's signal team has participated in the event, but its performance was highly appreciated by Russian and Belarus friends. Meanwhile, severe weather has become an obstacle for the artillery team.
* On August 28, the VPA's Signal Team entered the first day of the "Radio-orienteering" competition at the Uruche training grounds in Belarus's capital city of Minsk.
The VPA's Signal Team made good use of its limited time to learn how to handle the equipment. The goal of the test is to find 5 KP radio transmitters within a 6km area in 3 hours with no defined KP locations on the map.
Despite unfamiliar competition contents, the Vietnamese signal troops left a good impression on their strong rivals from Russia and Belarus by their tactics and fighting spirit. As a result, the Vietnamese team ranks third, right after the Belarusian (first) and Russian teams.

* The same day, doctors of the Vietnamese military medical team entered the “Individual skill” exercise of the “Military Medical Relay” contest. In this competition, medical personnel must overcome various obstacles along a 350m course. Then, they must approach wounded soldiers and demonstrate 4 medical techniques on the battlefield, including an emergency tracheostomy and pleural drainage, giving cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and conducting an intravenous injection. This requires both physical strength and expertise from the medical personnel, while the weather conditions in Forish were not favorable for the doctors from Vietnam.
However, with a strong will, the doctors from the People's Army of Vietnam successfully completed the exam. Particularly, Lieutenant and Doctor Le Van Huong completed the exam in 6 minutes and 4 seconds, ranking 5th among 10 participating doctors. This was an encouraging finish for the Vietnamese military medical team.
* On the second day of the “Master of Artillery Fire” competition, the second crew of the artillery team of the Vietnam People's Army fired very quickly but failed to destroy the mortar battery.
The second crew continued to participate in the AK74 and B41 shooting exercises. Right from the first shot, the Vietnamese gunners immediately destroyed the target. With a time of 17 minutes and 38 seconds, the second crew of the Vietnamese artillery team is temporarily ranked 5th.
After two days of competition, the VPA's Artillery Team currently ranks 4th. They will enter the "Relay race" competition on August 31.
* With 158.7 points in the third stage of the "Cooking and bread baking according to the menu and the Contest-given recipes No.2" competition, the Field Kitchen team of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) ranks third among six participating teams, right after the teams from Belarus and Russia.
