Vietnam’s Dak Lak and Cambodia’s Mondulkiri hold friendship exchange

The event was to mark the 58th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam - Cambodia diplomatic relationship (June 24, 1967 - 2025).

The event featured 15 spectacular performances in various genres by the Mondulkiri provincial Art Troupe, the Dak Lak Song and Dance Ensemble, the Art Team of the Border Guard Command of Dak Lak province, and the Ea Sup district’s Communication Center for Culture and Sports. The performances praised the traditional friendship, solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia; the close and friendly ties between Dak Lak and Mondulkiri provinces. At the same time, they promoted the unique cultural and artistic features of the two countries in general and of Dak Lak and Mondulkiri in particular.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak provincial People’s Committee Truong Cong Thai said that Dak Lak and Mondulkiri are deeply connected in geography, culture, economy, and people. Over the years, the authorities and people of both provinces have maintained solidarity, cooperation, and mutual support in economic development, border security and order protection, and building of a borderline of peace, friendship, cooperation, and development.

He added that the artistic exchange program held in the border district of Ea Sup is not only an occasion to introduce and promote the beauty culture and people of each country but also serves as a bridge to strengthen bonds, build trust, and enhance mutual understanding between the peoples of Dak Lak and Mondulkiri.

For his part, Director of the Department of Culture and Arts of Mondulkiri province Sok Ty Khea Vut affirmed that the exchange is an opportunity to reflect on the past and for all people, especially the younger generations of both countries, to better understand and take greater responsibility in preserving and continuously nurturing the valuable traditional friendship and solidarity between the two nations. This event also honored and praised the continued unity, closeness, and development of the relationship between Dak Lak and Mondulkiri.
