The Vietnamese delegation, led by Senior Colonel Huynh Ngoc Ky, Second-in-Command Officer of the Information Security Department of Command 86, joined the online conference from Hanoi.

The participation of Vietnamese delegation in the conference aims to contribute to maintaining and promoting bilateral defense exchange and cooperation activities between the two countries, as well as exploring advanced products and technologies in defense and security, network security made by Israel.

An overview of the conference

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Adiv Baruch, President of the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute, emphasized that the COVID-19 pandemic has affected all aspects of socio-economic life on a global scale. He said that by bringing technology solutions for security, crime prevention and cyber security, Israeli companies will promote technological exports, thereby building a better world.

Israeli Minister of Economy and Industry Amir Peretz said that in order to bring the economy back to normal after the pandemic, the security industry plays an important role in addressing the world's challenges, especially in the context of increased cyber-crimes. So the law enforcement agencies should create joint networks to combat these challenges, he added.

During the two-day conference, delegates are expected to join various seminars, an online exhibition, and online dialogues.

HLS & Cyber is held every two years in Israel by the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute (IEICI), in association with the Ministry of Economy and Industry, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Israel National Cyber Directorate.
