During these meetings, Sr. Col. Le Thanh Hai expressed gratitude for the thoughtful, respectful, and friendly reception from local authorities and Region 7 of the Japan Coast Guard.

He emphasized that in recent years, the relationship between Vietnam and Japan has grown strongly and intensively, not only in economy, trade, defense and security, but also in people-to-people exchange, education, and culture.

He noted that Fukuoka is one of the localities with a large, connected Vietnamese community who live, study, and work there, playing an important role as a bridge of friendship between the peoples of Vietnam and Japan.

He voiced his confidence that ongoing visit of the coast guard ship 8004 will be a success, contributing to strengthening exchanges, sharing experience, and consolidating friendly ties between the maritime law enforcement forces of the two countries.

The hosts expressed their pleasure and appreciation in welcoming the VCG delegation and Ship 8004 to the port city.

They hoped that the visit would further enhance cooperation between the two maritime law enforcement forces, as well as the ties between the authorities and people of Fukuoka Prefecture and Fukuoka city and their Vietnamese counterparts, thereby strengthening the Japan - Vietnam comprehensive strategic partnership.
