At the farewell ceremony, Captain Kongkrit Homtalop, Commander of Chuk Samet Port, congratulated the delegation aboard Sailing Ship 286-Le Quy Don on the successful completion of its visit and exchange program in Thailand, and wished the delegation a safe and smooth voyage during the remainder of its journey.
Senior Captain Lai Hong Dong, Deputy Director of the Naval Academy and head of the delegation, thanked the leadership, officers, and sailors of the Royal Thai Navy’s 1st Naval Area Command and Sattahip Naval Base for their warm reception and support, which enabled the delegation to successfully carry out its visit and exchange activities in Thailand.

During their stay in Sattahip, the Vietnamese naval delegation paid courtesy calls on leaders of the Royal Thai Navy’s 1st Naval Area Command and Sattahip Naval Base, participated in sports exchanges with the host navy, held a reception aboard Sailing Ship 286-Le Quy Don, and visited several local cultural, religious, and tourist sites.
Through these activities, the delegation left a positive impression on the host navy, contributing to further strengthening the friendship between Vietnam and Thailand in general, and between the militaries and navies of the two countries in particular. The visit also highlighted the image of friendly and peace-loving Vietnam, its people, and officers and sailors of the Vietnam People’s Navy.

Following the farewell ceremony, Sailing Ship 286-Le Quy Don and the Vietnamese naval delegation departed Chuk Samet Port in Sattahip district, Chonburi province, Thailand, to continue their voyage for a visit and exchange program with the Royal Cambodian Navy.
