Sailing Ship 286-Le Quy Don begins visit and exchange activities in Thailand

At the welcome ceremony, Captain Kongkrit Homtalop warmly welcomed Senior Captain Lai Hong Dong and the delegation of the Vietnam People's Navy. He expressed confidence that the visit and exchange program would achieve great success and further strengthen cooperative relations between the two navies.

On behalf of the Vietnamese delegation, Sr. Capt. Lai Hong Dong thanked the Commander of Chuk Samet Port for the solemn reception. He emphasized that within the framework of the visit, both sides would organize many practical exchange activities, contributing to promoting friendship, cooperation, mutual understanding, and trust between the two navies for peace, stability, and development in the region and the world.

According to the schedule in Thailand, the Vietnamese delegation will pay courtesy visits on the leadership of the 1st Naval Area Command and the Sattahip Naval Base of the Royal Thai Navy. They will hold sports exchange activities with the Royal Thai Navy; host a reception aboard Sailing Ship 286-Le Quy Don; and visit several local tourist, cultural, and religious sites.
