Col. Hai emphasized that over nearly 75 years of development, the People's Army Newspaper has grown into a comprehensive media organization, including the daily newspaper, the weekend edition, the monthly edition, and the online edition available in five languages: Vietnamese, English, Chinese, Lao, and Khmer. Notably, the Russian-language edition is scheduled to be officially launched in August.
Col. Hai noted that such achievements have been made possible thanks to the leadership and support of the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the GDP. Contributions have also come from central ministries and agencies, military units, local authorities and people across the country, and international friends, including the Lao Party, State, military, and people. In particular, the support from colleagues at the Lao People's Army Newspaper is valuable.

Col. Hai expressed his hope that, by the end of the course, what the Lao participants would take back home would be not only valuable professional knowledge and skills, but also a deep sense of brotherhood, loyalty, and affection from their Vietnamese peers on the eastern side of the Truong Son Mountain (Annamite) Range. He said this bond was forged in history, tested in war, and has been nurtured in peace, lasting forever like an inseparable part of the same body.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Aphai Aphaiyavong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Lao People's Army Newspaper, affirmed that the Lao Party and State always pay close attention to the development of the press. In recent years, the Lao People's Army Newspaper has placed great emphasis on comprehensive development, especially in building a team of reporters and editors with necessary skills and qualifications to fulfill its political missions.
