The course aims to enhance knowledge, skills, professional expertise, and practical experience of the Lao trainees, during which effective methods in mass mobilization work between the two militaries are also exchanged. These activities are expected to help improve the trainees’ expertise, further strengthen the traditional friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two defense ministries.

In his opening remarks, Senior Colonel Vu Thanh Minh, Deputy Chief of the Department of Mass Mobilization, informed that the Lao trainees would study eight specialized topics on mass mobilization and special information dissemination work. They will also have visits to and exchanges of experience with their peers from several VPA units. In addition, they will tour some famous sites in Vietnam to gain a deeper understanding of the country, its culture and people, thereby fostering the traditional friendship, special solidarity between the two nations and their militaries.

Col. Minh asked the trainees to uphold their sense of responsibility, overcome difficulties in study, actively engage in open dialogue and exchanges to fully grasp key issues of interest, and strictly comply with the course regulations to ensure absolute safety.

In his speech, Col. Viengxay Soulivong expressed his hope that the trainees would gain valuable experience and knowledge in mass mobilization work to creatively and effectively apply in their future missions, thereby deepening the special solidarity between the two countries.

Col. Khonevilay Thammavongsa expressed his desire to learn from Vietnam’s experience and apply it to the department’s professional task implementation as well as national defense and security work of the LPA.
