Currently, Ideas Multimedios produces the political commentary program Mesa Redonda (Round Table) broadcast on Cuba’s national television and manages the online newspaper Cubadebate. Meanwhile, Prensa Latina is one of Cuba’s leading press agencies, maintaining more than 30 overseas bureaus worldwide, including in Vietnam. Both of them have played a vital role in providing reliable information on Cuba’s development in politics, socio-economics, and defense-security, while also strengthening mutual understanding and the traditional friendship between Cuba and other nations, including Vietnam.

At the meetings, General Bo expressed his pleasure at the achievements of Ideas Multimedios and Prensa Latina. He also briefed the hosts on the history, development, functions, and recent accomplishments of the PAN, which has been designated as one of the six major multimedia press agencies by the Vietnamese Government.
In a warm and open atmosphere, the the two sides shared experience in safeguarding the ideological foundation of the Party, countering hostile viewpoints in the digital age, applying artificial intelligence and advanced technology to journalism, improving external communications, developing multi-platform journalism, raising professional skills in reporting, editing, and publishing. The PAN delegation also extended an invitation for Ideas Multimedios and Prensa Latina journalists to visit PAN in an appropriate time.

The delegation also visited Camilo Cienfuegos Capdevila Military School of the Havana Military Region under the Western Army of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces. Established in 1966 by General Raul Castro, the school provides both general education and defense-security training, serving as a solid foundation for students to pursue higher education inside and outside the military.

Speaking at the event, the PAN’s Editor-in-Chief emphasized the similarities between the two militaries, particularly in their systems of military schools that combine education with discipline, moral character, physical fitness, and responsibility. He praised the school’s professional environment and expressed hope that it would continue its tradition of excellence, while encouraging students to strive to become well-rounded officers, contributing to national defense and to strengthening the special friendship between Cuba and Vietnam.
As part of the program, the delegation also toured the Fidel Castro Ruz Center, which preserves and promotes the legacy of the Cuban leader. Conversing with staff, Maj. Gen. Doan Xuan Bo highlighted Fidel Castro as an eternal symbol of revolutionary heroism and resilience in the struggle for independence.

He commended the Center’s application of modern technology and encouraged its continued efforts to preserve and present precious artifacts and images of Fidel Castro’s life and revolutionary career to both the Cuban people and international friends.
