At the meeting, Senior Colonel Nguyen Hong Hai introduced the newspaper’s tasks, publications, and digital platforms. As the official voice of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, and one of Vietnam’s six key multimedia press agencies with more than 75 years of history, the PAN has been closely associated with the development of the Vietnam People’s Army. The newspaper covers a wide range of domestic and international issues across political, economic, and social spheres. It has also been expanding international cooperation through partnerships with foreign media outlets, including the Associated Press, and professional exchanges with press agencies of various countries to enhance the quality and effectiveness of its information dissemination. Currently, its online edition is available not only in Vietnamese but also in English, Chinese, Lao, Khmer, and Russian. It provides a solid foundation for further cooperation between the PAN and the Foreign Military Attaché Corps in the suitable areas.

Senior Colonel Nguyen Hong Hai noted that the meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange ideas and propose practical cooperation initiatives. He emphasized that, in line with Vietnam’s consistent foreign policy and the Vietnam People’s Army’s policy of international integration in defense sector, the PAN serves as a reliable and effective channel for information on Vietnam’s external relations and defense cooperation. The newspaper is ready to receive and publish high-quality contributions from collaborators, provided they align with its principles and Vietnam’s laws and policies.

He affirmed that each foreign defense attaché in Vietnam could become a contributor to the newspaper, providing valuable insights not only on defense cooperation, but also on topics of public interest such as culture, sports, and tourism. He also welcomed the idea of organizing sports exchanges, expressing hope that such activities would soon be implemented to further strengthen friendly cooperation between the two sides.
