Speaking at the banquet, Lieutenant General Nguyen Ba Luc extended his best wishes to the Chargé d’Affaires, the Military, Naval and Air Attaché of Myanmar to Vietnam, as well as all generals, officers and soldiers of the Myanmar Armed Forces. He emphasized that defense cooperation is an important component of the Vietnam–Myanmar comprehensive partnership, contributing significantly to strengthening friendship between the two countries and promoting aspirations for peace, cooperation, and mutual development in the region and the world.

The two sides have implemented various practical and effective areas of cooperation, including delegation exchanges, language training, experience sharing in military medicine, search and rescue, and coordination at multilateral forums. Notably, the joint venture Mytel, between the Viettel Group under Vietnam’s Ministry of National Defense and Myanmar partners, has made positive contribution to socio-economic development and improving people’s livelihoods in Myanmar. Building on these achievements, within their capabilities and conditions, the Vietnam People’s Army stands ready to further deepen the comprehensive partnership with the Myanmar Armed Forces.
At the event, Brigadier General Min Thun Nai, Myanmar’s Military, Naval and Air Attaché to Vietnam, expressed his pleasure at the continued consolidation and development of bilateral relations, laying a solid foundation for long-term and sustainable achievements. He voiced confidence that cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries will continue to be strengthened and expanded, delivering practical results and contributing to the prosperity and interests of both peoples. Based on shared values, the Myanmar Armed Forces are actively promoting cooperation and enhancing mutual understanding with the Vietnam People’s Army.

On this occasion, on behalf of the Myanmar government, armed forces, and people affected by the March 2025 earthquake, Brigadier General Min Thun Nai expressed sincere gratitude to the search and rescue teams of Vietnam’s military and public security forces, as well as relevant agencies of the Vietnamese government, for their timely support and solidarity with the people of Myanmar.
