Free health check-ups, medicines and gifts given to Cambodian people

The delegate was led by MR5’s Deputy Political Chief Senior Colonel Nguyen Thanh Xuan.

In Po Nhay commune, medical staff of Military Hospital 17 conducted health check-ups, provided consultations, and distributed free medicines to nearly 1,000 local people.

In addition to medical services, the delegation presented 150 gifts to households with particularly difficult circumstances in the locality.

Addressing the event, Col. Xuan extended his best New Year wishes to the leadership of Military Region 1, the Ratanakiri provincial Military Sub-region, as well as local authorities and people.

He also hoped that the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia, the two militaries and MR5 and its Cambodian counterparts will continue to grow in a sustainable manner.

The activity reaffirmed the enduring solidarity and close ties between the militaries and peoples of the two countries along the shared border.
