Lao military cadres join VPA-opened course
PANO - A refresher course on office, mass mobilization, youth, and trade union affairs was opened for cadres from the Lao People’s Army on November 14 at Unit 871 under the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA).

Attending the opening ceremony were GDP Deputy Office Manager Senior Colonel Ngo Van Vinh, Deputy Defense Attaché of Laos to Vietnam Lieutenant Colonel Vongsavane Bouttavong, and Deputy Head of Unit 871 Senior Colonel Hoang Tuan Cuong.
In his speech, Colonel Vinh stressed the aim of the organization of this refresher course for Lao military cadres. In particular, during the course, the Lao trainees will improve their professional expertise and skills, learn practical experience in giving strategic recommendations, organizing, and carrying out duties related to office, mass mobilization, youth, and trade union affairs from their Vietnamese peers.
According to the Vietnamese official, the course will focus on clarifying basic theoretical and practical issues and how Vietnamese troops organize and implement the work.

Other support activities and field trips to Vietnamese military units and businesses will be held for Lao cadres as well.
