L2FH Rotation 7 transferred to Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations
PANO - On September 21 afternoon, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan chaired a ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City to hand over the Level-2 Field Hospital (L2FH) Rotation 7 from Military Hospital 175 to the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations (VNDPKO).
Over the past time, the training for personnel of the L2FH Rotation 7 to take on U.N. peacekeeping mission has been successfully completed, strictly following U.N. standard procedures. The training covered medical expertise, advanced knowledge on peacekeeping, pre-deployment training, integrated exercises, and survival skills. These aimed to ensure that officers and staff of the field hospital are fully capable of performing effectively in real mission environments at U.N. missions.
Addressing the event, Gen. Tan highly praised the units for their thorough and serious coordination in training the hospital’s personnel. He asked the field hospital’s staff to continue to strictly observe the Party’s foreign policy, State laws, military discipline, and international law while upholding internal solidarity and international unity to generate combined strength in order to successfully fulfill all assignments.
The Deputy Chief of the General Staff emphasized that the L2FH Rotation 7 must carry forward the traditions of its predecessors, grasp situational developments, give suggestions to higher authorities, and at the same time show determination in performing professional duties. He urged the unit to actively promote the cultural values of Uncle Ho’s soldiers among international friends and to actively carry out mass mobilization work and cultural activities in support of local communities.

Gen. Tan directed the VNDPKO and Military Hospital 175 to closely monitor and provide guidance for all activities of the L2FH Rotation 7 while deployed. He stressed that relevant agencies and units must coordinate closely to ensure political rights and strong support for the families of deployed personnel, so that they can feel secure and motivated while performing their international duties.
