During their stay, the ship’s crew members will pay courtesy calls to high-ranking officials of the Da Nang’s municipal People’s Committee, the Vietnam Coast Guard Command, the Command of Coast Guard Region 2, the Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center Region II. They will also join troops of the Vietnam Coast Guard Command in sports activities.
This is the fourth visit to Vietnam of the Japanese Coast Guard force, the second of the ship, but it has been the first visit of the Japanese Coast Guard force to Vietnam since the Vietnam Coast Guard and the Japan Coast Guard signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in September 2015.
The visit of the Japanese Coast Guard ship provides a chance for the two forces to exchange experience and strengthen their cooperation and mutual understanding.
