Defense leader inspects preparations for 9th Vietnam-China Border Defense Friendship Exchange

On having a field check in areas to host activities within the exchange, Gen. Chien acknowledged great efforts of relevant agencies and units to ensure progress and quality of the preparatory work. He asked them to make thorough preparations for the solemn event, concentrating on smooth travel, military medicine, absolute safety and security for participants and vehicles.

The defense leader emphasized that the exchange is a highlight in the celebrations of the 75th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic ties (January 18, 1950 - 2025) and holds a practical meaning to start the Year of Vietnam-China Humanistic Exchange 2025.

He added that the exchange is importantly significant to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two militaries and border protection forces, local authorities and people in the shared border areas. Therefore, the exchange activities should be practical and help promote people-to-people exchange.

As planned, the exchange will take place from April 16 to 17 in Vietnam’s Lang Son province and China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
