According to the report, the Dak Lak provincial Military Command has strictly implemented the defense diplomacy guidelines and policies of the Party, State, and military. The unit has also maintained close coordination with Cambodian border protection forces through various diplomatic formats, including talks, correspondence, border meetings, and bilateral patrols.

These activities have facilitated timely exchange of information regarding security situations and crime prevention, thereby ensuring a peaceful and stable environment, firmly safeguarding national sovereignty, and creating favorable conditions for local socio-economic development.
The command has also pro-actively advised the provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee on socio-economic cooperation programs, drafting practical border diplomacy plans tailored to international integration requirements. Meanwhile, the provincial Border Guard Command has effectively conducted diplomacy at the provincial and station levels with Cambodian counterparts, promptly resolving border issues in accordance with signed international treaties.
Concluding the inspection, Major General Nguyen Quoc Huong requested that the Dak Lak provincial Military Command continue excelling in defense and border diplomacy. He urged the unit to uphold solidarity and friendship during border patrols and protection operations; effectively thwart the plots of hostile forces, border regulation violations, and illegal border crossings; and prevent disease outbreaks.

Furthermore, the military region’s leader instructed the unit to actively advise local authorities on defense and people-to-people diplomacy in the new situation. The command must also participate in resolving border security issues in line with government decentralization, successfully execute the task of guiding and protecting the border demarcation and marker planting forces, and closely integrate diplomatic activities with border management and protection measures.
