The talks were co-chaired by Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee and Head of the Steering Committee 515 of Dak Lak province Dao My, and Director of the Administrative Court and Deputy Head of the Specialized Committee of Mondulkiri province Neang Van Nak.

Both sides assessed that the search and collection efforts during the 2025-2026 dry season were implemented in line with their annual memorandum of understanding, characterized by close coordination and information exchange.

Despite harsh weather and difficult terrain, Team K51 collected 22 sets of remains, which are yet to be identified, with support from Mondulkiri authorities. The Specialized Committee of Mondulkiri province reaffirmed that local authorities and people highly value the historical assistance of Vietnamese soldiers.

In a spirit of solidarity, the province has actively facilitated Dak Lak’s mission to repatriate martyrs’ remains to ease the grief of their families.

Vice Chairman Dao My attributed the season's achievements to the practical support from Mondulkiri’s leaders, armed forces, and citizens in providing information and ensuring protection for Team K51. While on duty, Team K51 also fostered traditional friendship and promoted the noble image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers.

To conclude the mission, both sides agreed to hold a requiem and farewell ceremony on May 27, following Cambodian customs, before the remains are returned to Dak Lak province. They also reached a consensus on search and collection plans for the coming period.
