The two sides previously exchanged, shared information and sought partnership at Viettel’s booth in Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona, Spain, an annual trade show dedicated to the mobile communications industry.

Under the agreement, the two enterprises will support each other in the development of technologies and other global solutions in terms of 5G technology and artificial intelligence (AI). Their partnership aims to create big values and raise the quality of their services.
Particularly, in research and development of 5G technology, the two sides will develop 5G solutions, including both software and hardware. In cloud computing, Supermicro will contribute hardware while Viettel provides software to develop Private Cloud solution.
In addition, they will jointly develop high-performance, energy-saving server solutions to suit different groups of customers and apply AI to improving the quality of telecommunications, data centers and business processes.
Viettel has rich experience in telecommunications exploitation. It has mastered all devices in the 5G ecosystem, including radio access devices, transmission devices, core network systems, making Vietnam the fifth country in the world to master 5G technology.
Supermicro is known for its strength in server development, and provision of server management software, high-performance storage systems and computing solutions, meeting higher demands of businesses and organizations.
The partnership between Viettel and Supermicro is expected to increase 5G coverage in Vietnam.
