During the 2020-2025 period, Viettel partnered with An Giang to implement numerous key digital transformation projects. Notable initiatives included a border surveillance camera system; a Security Operations Center (SOC); a video conferencing system; digitization and security equipment for provincial departments and agencies; the SMAS school management software; and the rollout of 5G coverage in several strategic areas.

In particular, Viettel is cooperating in the investment and construction of an Intelligent Operations Monitoring Center to serve the management of the Phu Quoc Special Zone, helping enhance urban governance capacity and support international events.
Building on these achievements, the two sides agreed to continue strengthening cooperation in the 2026-2030 period across five priority areas, namely digital infrastructure, digital government, digital economy, digital society, and information security - core technology. The goal is to establish an integrated, efficient, and sustainable digital transformation foundation; improve the annual Digital Transformation Index (DTI) ranking; enhance the digital capabilities of officials, public servants, and citizens; and contribute to the successful implementation of national and local resolutions and plans on science - technology development, innovation, and digital transformation.
