On behalf of provincial leaders, Nguyen Duc Long, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Quang Ninh provincial People's Committee, believed that the media agencies would continuously collaborate with the provincial authorities to promote the information dissemination of guidelines, policies of the Party and the State on the province's development process; improve the images and values of the land and local people in the cause of innovation, to attract more visitors and investors.

* The Vietnam News Agency (VNA), in association with Ha Tinh provincial People's Committee, held a ceremony to unveil a plaque for a road named after Tran Kim Xuyen, the first Vietnamese journalist-martyr on June 17 in Pho Chau town, Huong Son district. Born in 1921 in Son My commune, Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province, Tran Kim Xuyen was appointed as Deputy Director of the Ministry of Home Affairs' Vietnam Information Department after the 1945 August Revolution and he was in charge of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA).

* Le Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Chairman of Hai Phong provincial People's Council, asked the media agencies to strengthen collaboration with the city departments to disseminate the results of the implementing the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress, the 15th Congress of the Hai Phong Municipal Party Committee and the Resolution of the fourth plenum, in combination with the Politburo's Directive No.05 on promoting the studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's moral example, thought and lifestyle.

* Vinh Phuc Newspaper also held a meeting with collaborators and gave awards to winners of the contest to mark the 92nd anniversary of Vietnam Revolution Press Day. After one year of launching, the contest received about 300 entries from journalists and collaborators inside and outside the province. The organizing panel presented 11 prizes to excellent works including one first, two second, three third and five consolation prizes.

* The Danang People's Committee organized a ceremony on June 16 to mark 92nd anniversary of the Vietnam Revolution Press Day and awarded the City Press Award in 2017. Accordingly, the organizing panel selected 80 entries of 92 reporters, collaborators from the central and local press agencies and awarded 23 outstanding works.
