The highland districts in western Nghe An, namely Tuong Duong, Ky Son, and Que Phong, are known for majestic mountains, with many types of distinctive plants. Throughout the different seasons, these plants shed their leaves, bloom, and contribute to the vibrant beauty of the natural landscape, attracting people, especially tourists from the lowlands.

According to the locals, there are two types of Ban flowers in Nghe An’s highland regions: white and pink. These flowers bloom from early March to April each year. Attentively, they only bloom when the tree has shed all its leaves, creating a unique scene compared to other plants in nature. When the wind blows, the petals of Ban flower gently sway, fluttering like hundreds of butterflies flying around the tree. The flowers have become familiar with the lives of ethnic minority people living in border districts. During the blooming season, women enjoy preparing dresses to take beautiful photos.
