The live-broadcast program marked the five-year milestone of the “Continuing the journey with you” project. Initiated by the newspaper on September 16, 2021, the project aims to support and sponsor children who lost one or both parents to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 90-minute program featured four chapters, namely “Your schoolbag,” “Loving arms,” “Continuing your dream,” and “Southern compassion.” Through reportages, art performances, and on-stage interviews, the event highlighted the losses suffered during the pandemic while portraying the children’s journey to overcome difficulties and move forward in life.
On the occasion, benefactors presented sponsorships and gifts to COVID-19 orphans, providing them with extra motivation on their journey to adulthood.
In addition, the event served as an opportunity to reflect on the five-year period of supporting and caring for disadvantaged children, while officially launching the sponsorship website “Continuing the journey with you.”
