The event was attended by Deputy Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh, and leaders of relevant ministries, sectors and local authorities.
Reportedly, currently, the economic scale of the province has reached nearly VND 93,000 billion (ranked 30th out of 63 provinces and cities in the country), while the gross regional domestic product (GRDP) per capita has reached VND 70.5 million per year. The province has attracted investment and implemented a number of large industrial projects, such as Vung Ang II Thermal Power Plant, VinES Battery Factory and Vingroup’s Lithium Battery Factory, Hanoi Brewery- Nghe Tinh.
In 2022, the province’s budget revenue reached more than VND 18 trillion. Since the beginning of the provincial Party Congress term, the province has had nearly 2,700 newly established enterprises; cumulatively, the province has 7,500 enterprises. Disbursement of public investment since the beginning of 2023 has reached nearly VND 1,192/8,411 billion, accounting for 14.2% of the plan, higher than that of the same period last year.
Addressing the meeting, General Phan Van Giang hailed the achievements of the provincial Party organization, authorities, armed forces, and people, contributing to the whole country’s achievements.
He also underscored that the provincial Party organization and authorities should map out solutions and mobilize the all-out efforts to boost local sustainable socio-economic development in line with reality as well as ensuring defense and security work.
It should also build a strong and clean administrative agency system, focus on poverty reduction, social security and medical and healthcare system, and take care of ethnic groups.
He also noted that Ha Tinh province should grasp the viewpoint that socio-economic development and Party building are the main tasks, while promoting cultural development and national defense and security. It was asked to boost its potential while overcoming difficulties and being ready in any circumstances. Meanwhile, the provincial Party Committee and authorities should focus on its leadership so as to attract investment, promote administrative reform, creating favorable conditions to develop local socio-economy.

“Ha Tinh province holds an important position; therefore, it should pay attention to well performing the tasks of ensuring defense and security, maintaining stability and absolute safety in all circumstances,” Gen. Giang emphasized. He requested that relevant ministries and sectors should create favorable conditions for the province to accomplish all set targets.
On the same day, General Phan Van Giang and the delegation offered incense in tribute to fallen soldiers at the special national historic site Dong Loc Junction (Can Loc district, Ha Tinh province) and Truong Bon national historic site (Do Luong district, Nghe An province).
