250 presents-in-kind and in cash, worth VND 200 million in total, were handed over to needy child patients at Neurology and Tumour Wards of the National Hospital of Paediatrics, on April 26th, by Maritime Bank and the Vietnam Investment and Development Group (VID).
Apart from these gifts, the Bank and VID will also give 1,500 charitable meals for child patients on every Tuesday during the month.
Nguyen Thi Nguyet Huong, the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and the General Director of VID, said they had always reserved budgets to support needy children as they are the future of the country and believed that the assistance would help them to recover sooner.
VID and Maritime Bank also planned to assist needy women in Hanoi, to finance heart surgery in Vietnam’s Cardiovascular Centre and to present houses of gratitude for needy households in Binh Duong Province.
