Despite increasingly difficult search conditions caused by changing terrain and the dwindling availability of information on burial sites, Team K92, with the support of the Kep Provincial Special Task Committee, local authorities, armed forces, and residents, surveyed and excavated 14 locations, recovering the remains of 12 fallen Vietnamese soldiers. Since 2001, a total of 91 sets of remains have been recovered in Kep province.

In addition to the recovery mission, the two provinces have maintained close cooperation through military diplomacy and community outreach activities. Team K92 has worked with local authorities to encourage residents to provide information on burial sites, organized free healthcare programs, and provided assistance for local agencies, military units, and disadvantaged families. These efforts have strengthened ties with the authorities and people of Kep province, helping facilitate future search operations.

During the ceremony, the two Special Task Committees formally completed the handover of the 12 sets of remains for repatriation to Vietnam, where memorial services and burial ceremonies will be conducted.

Addressing the event, Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Provincial Special Task Committee Le Van Phuoc expressed his sincere appreciation to the Kep Provincial Special Task Committee, local authorities, armed forces, and residents for their continued support throughout the mission. He called for closer coordination, enhanced information sharing, and continued support to locate and recover the remaining fallen soldiers' remains, contributing to the successful implementation of the 500-Day Campaign to accelerate the search, recovery, and identification of fallen soldiers' remains.

In response, the Cambodian representative affirmed that Kep province would continue directing its authorities, armed forces, and relevant agencies to work closely with An Giang in supporting the search, recovery, and repatriation of Vietnamese fallen soldiers.

Both sides agreed to maintain their regular coordination mechanism, recognizing the mission not only as a humanitarian responsibility but also as an important contribution to strengthening the traditional friendship and solidarity between An Giang and Kep provinces and further enhancing Cambodia - Vietnam relations.
