Two sets of martyrs’ remains recovered in Tay Ninh province

While expanding survey and search operations in the area, Team K71 personnel excavated approximately 70 cubic meters of soil to a depth of around 1.5 meters before discovering two sets of remains located about two meters apart.

Due to the area's damp geological conditions, the remains had significantly deteriorated over time. Nevertheless, with a strong sense of responsibility, Team K71 officers and soldiers carefully collected biological samples from the bones and teeth for DNA analysis, supporting efforts to identify the fallen soldiers.

The two sets of remains were then transferred to a temporary preservation site at the Loc Chau Quarter Office in An Tinh ward, where they will undergo further management and forensic examination in accordance with regulations.

The recovered martyrs’ remains are transferred to the Office of Loc Chau quarter in An Tinh ward for temporary preservation.

Previously, on July 23 and 24, Team K71 recovered two sets of martyrs’ remains in Tan Tay hamlet, Tan Thanh commune, Tay Ninh province. As a result, between July 14 and July 31, 2026, the team recovered a total of four sets of martyrs’ remains.

In the coming period, Team K71 will continue coordinating with relevant forces and local authorities to expand survey and search operations in areas believed to contain martyrs’ burial sites. The team is determined to successfully carry out the search and collection mission, contributing to the effective implementation of policy for troops’ families and honoring martyrs who sacrificed their lives for national liberation and defense.
