MR4 to boost quality of martyrs’ remain search and collection work
PANO - On August 16, Steering Committee 515 of Military Region 4 (MR4) held a conference to finalize martyrs’ list and review the search and collection of fallen soldiers’ remains in the 2022-2023 dry season.
Over the past time, activities to search and collect martyrs’ remains in the six provinces of MR4 and ten Lao provinces have gained remarkable outcomes. So far, the region has standardized 92,593 information contents about war martyrs.
Meanwhile, the Departments of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of the provinces have worked together to review and supplement information about 178,074 local martyrs under their management. So far, the provinces have basically finalized the tasks at the three levels of commune, district, and province, helping functional forces collect 118 remains of martyrs.
In the 2022-2023 dry season, with high determination, the MR searched and collected 245 sets of martyrs’ remains, including 166 in Laos.

At the conference, delegates discussed and pointed out shortcomings while mapping out solutions to better implement the work in the coming time.
On the occasion, the MR4 Command presented certificates of merit to 11 collectives ad 28 individuals for the outstanding performance in this task during the 2022-2023 dry season.
