Team K51 assigned to conduct search and collection of martyrs’ remains
PANO - Dak Lak province held a ceremony on November 10 to see off Team K51’s personnel to conduct the search and collection of remains of fallen Vietnamese volunteer troops and advisors who died in Cambodia during wartime.

As scheduled, Team K51 will search for and repatriate remains of Vietnamese fallen volunteer troops and advisors during wartime in Cambodia’s Mondulkiri province from November 11, 2022 to May 31, 2023.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairwoman of the Dak Lak provincial People’s Committee, and Head of the provincial steering committee for search, collection and verification of fallen soldiers’ remains (Steering Committee 515) H’ Yim Kdoh hailed outstanding achievements gained by Team K51 over the past time.
In order to well implement assigned duties and complete set targets in the 2022-2023 dry season, the vice chairwoman required the provincial military command to enhance its role and responsibility in managing and directing Team K51 in search, collection, and verification of martyrs’ remains. Therefore, the command should give timely recommendations to the provincial Steering Committee 515 to deal with arising issues.

Meanwhile, Team K51 should promote education work to raise troops’ awareness of the meaning of the search, collection, and repatriation of remains of Vietnamese fallen volunteer troops and advisors who laid down their lives in Cambodia.
Also, the official urged Team K51 members to strictly observe military discipline and the laws of Cambodia, and respect regulations on international relations and traditional culture and customs of the host country while ensuring absolute safety for personnel and vehicles.
