Memorial and burial service for remains of Vietnamese martyrs
PANO - The Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee held a memorial and burial service for 23 sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisors who had sacrificed their lives in Cambodia during various wartime periods.
The remains were recovered by Search and Collection Team K51 of the Dak Lak Provincial Military Command during the 2024–2025 dry season.
In a solemn atmosphere, local leaders, delegates, and citizens offered incense, observed a moment of silence, and bid a final farewell to the 23 martyrs.

According to Truong Cong Thai, Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee, the Party, State, and people of Vietnam are deeply proud of and grateful to the heroic soldiers who bravely laid down their lives for national independence, bringing freedom and happiness to the people and fulfilling their noble international duties.
With unwavering dedication despite harsh weather conditions, over the course of more than six months, officers and soldiers of Team K51 gathered information, conducted searches, and successfully recovered and repatriated 23 sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisors who had died in Mondulkiri Province, Cambodia. All the remains were unidentified and have now been laid to rest at the Dak Lak War Cemetery.
Since 2000, Dak Lak Province has recovered and repatriated a total of 769 sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisors who died while performing international duties in Mondulkiri Province.
