At the signing of coordination agreement

The talk aimed to discuss the resumed operation of K53 Team under the Kon Tum Provincial Military Command for search, collection and repatriation of the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisers who died in Laos, in the 2023-2024 dry season.

At the talk, both sides reviewed their collaboration in the previous period, stressing that the Specialized Committee of Laos’ Attapeu province has actively directed and called on locals to provide information related to Vietnamese martyrs’ remains while giving support to Vietnam’s K53 Team to search and repatriate six sets of martyrs’ remains to homeland.

In the coming period, the two sides agreed to continue to closely collaborate, enhance information exchange, and support Vietnam’s K53 Team to improve their task performance.

At the end of the talk, the two sides signed the minutes for their collaboration in the 2023-2024 dry season. As expected, in October 2023, the Kon Tum Provincial Specialized Committee will send K53 Team to Attapeu province to begin the task of searching, collecting, and repatriating martyrs' remains in the 2023 - 2024 dry season.

On the occasion, Vice Chairman of the Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee Y Ngoc awarded certificates of merit of the Provincial People's Committee to groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in the search and collection for martyrs' remains in the 2022-2023 dry season.
