Conference on martyrs' remains search and collection held
PANO – A delegation of the Thua Thien Hue provincial Steering Committee 515, led by the Second-in-Command of the provincial Military Command, on October 26, had a talk with the Special Task Force of Laos’ Salavan province on search and collection of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisers’ remains in Salavan, in the dry season of 2022-2023.
During the conference, the two sides reviewed advantages and disadvantages as well as achievements in the search and collection of remains of fallen soldiers in dry season 2021-2022. They also mapped out orientations and solutions to accomplish the task in dry season 2022-2023.
Accordingly, in the 2021-2022 dry season, under the directions of the Thua Thien Hue provincial Steering Committee 515 and the Lao side, Collection Team 192 under the Thua Thien Hue provincial Military Command searched, collected, and repatriated 12 sets of martyrs’ remains in Salavan province.
In the coming time, the steering committee hoped that the Salavan provincial Special Task Force would continue promoting dissemination work to mobilize locals to help Collection Team 192 perform its search and collection task in the locality.

For their part, the Lao side affirmed that they will create all favorable conditions for Collection Team 192 to well accomplish their task in the dry season of 2022-2023.
During the event, the two sides also exchanged information about the outcomes of defense and military task perfect in 2022, and discussed cooperation orientations in the coming time.
