Major General Doan Van Nhat, Deputy Political Chief of Military Region 5, attended the meeting. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee and Head of the Steering Committee 515 of Gia Lai province, chaired the conference.
Reportedly, the province has conducted searches at 138 sites, covering 76,000 square meters, then found 92 sets of remains.
Team K52 under the Gia Lai provincial Military Command has also worked in 748 villages, 121 communes, and 20 districts in the three Cambodian provinces of Ratanakiri, Stung Treng, and Preah Vihear. From 381 collected sources of information, they have collected 84 sets of remains, each with belongings and biological samples taken.
The Steering Committee 515 has actively made recommendations to provincial leaders, enhanced external relations with Cambodian local authorities, and conducted memorial and reburial ceremonies. They have also promoted professional training for personnel participating in identifying the remains.

The conference also addressed challenges and outlined objectives and solutions for the 2026-2030 period.
Major General Doan Van Nhat praised the leadership of Gia Lai’s authorities, the role of the provincial Military Command, and Team K52. He urged continued efforts in this work.
During the conference, the Gia Lai provincial People’s Committee handed over certificates of merit to six collectives and 14 individuals for their contribution to the mission.
